The Limited Run Vault Opens Once Again
The Limited Run Vault Opens Once Again
Come one, come all, come buy some cool games.
My, how time flies. Another month, another Limited Run Games Vault drop, another set of games for which this will be your last chance to buy them from us. Some real heavy-hitters for July 2026, it seems! Don’t take this opening paragraph’s word for it, though. Read ahead and see for yourself.

Castlevania: Dominus Collection
Switch & PlayStation 5 Classic Edition | Xbox Series Standard Edition & Classic Edition
Traditional Castlevania action returns to our lives this fall with Belmont’s Curse, and it’s been a long time coming: The last brand-new Castlevania adventure (not counting remakes) was 2008’s Order of Ecclesia. That’s nearly 20 years! In that sense, Dominus Collection makes a perfect primer for Belmont’s Curse, since it contains not only Order of Ecclesia but also its two immediate predecessors, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. Oh, and one of those remakes—M2’s excellent overhaul of the arcade game Haunted Castle. That’s a ton of fantastic Castlevania in a single collection. Frankly, you’d want to own this set even if there weren’t a new game to prepare for.

Switch & PS4 Standard Edition
Salt & Sanctuary was cut from similar cloth to the Castlevania games, though it has a style all its own. (Some would say it has more in common with Dark Souls than Castlevania. Insert “they’re the same picture” meme here.) We like this one so much that we dedicated a cover of our long-ago company newsletter, The Club O’ Fun News, to it. Real ones remember.

PS4 & Xbox Series Standard Edition | PS4 / Xbox Series / PC Classic Edition

Yakuza 4 and 5 did a lot to expand the world of Yakuza, opening up its story to encompass more than its original point-of-view protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, and moving the action away from the Kamurocho district of Tokyo to encompass the seedier parts of other Japanese cities. Of course, the core game works more or less the same here as in other Yakuza titles: you battle corrupt criminal factions while taking time out to help the less fortunate or play minigames and classic Sega arcade games. What’s not to love?

PS4 & Xbox Series Cheerleader Edition | Switch Standard & Cheerleader Edition
Lollipop Chainsaw builds on a premise that everyone had already long suspected: in the event of a zombie apocalypse, mankind’s best hope for survival is an angry cheerleader. Provided said cheerleader is suitably equipped to fight zombies, i.e. has a chainsaw. As a collaboration between James Gunn and Suda51, Lollipop Chainsaw mixes horror, action, and sarcasm in equal portions.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
Switch & PS5 Standard Edition | Switch / PS4 / Xbox Series / PS5 / PC Ultimate Edition
Built in the tradition of those Ninja Turtles arcade games you remember from entirely too long ago, Shredder’s Revenge takes advantage of modern conveniences (like netplay and high-definition graphics) while working as a sort of love letter to the Turtles franchise and its history as a whole. All of which makes sense! It’s by Tribute Games. Paying tribute to the classics is literally built into their name.

Switch & PS5 Standard Edition
And for our final highlight this Vault drop, we have... another game that has a lot in common with Castlevania? We’re not complaining. Ender Magnolia follows up on Ender Lillies with gorgeous hand-drawn graphics, non-linear 2D action, and a heroine who grows in power and abilities as you make your way through the game world. Spoilers: It even has multiple endings depending on which nonlinear path you choose to take. We keep saying it, but again, what’s not to love?
