The Runtime Podcast Returns in Hot Pursuit of a Frog

Pardon our dust (and our delays) as we tweak the workings of Runtime a little bit to better fit the realities of our times—namely, the fact that life in America doesn’t seem likely to return to normal anytime soon. While we’re spread apart during this ongoing pandemic, recording podcasts can be tricky… which is why Runtime will be switching to a monthly format for the time being.

But don’t fret! The upside is that each episode will now be even more awesome than before.

You can see that guarantee in action here, as I team up with our own Michelle Belcher to chat with Matt Papa from Inti Creates about his role at the studio, especially viz-a-viz their very rad duology of classic metroidvania action games currently available through Limited Run Games: Blaster Master Zero and Zero 2.

Absent this episode are Josh and Douglas, who are up to their necks in E3 stream prep work. But again, fret not—they should be back next time. And they’ll be able to discuss all the exciting announcements we have on tap for our presentation. Please look forward to it! And for now, enjoy the podcast.

Runtime Episode 6 description:

Matt Papa dials in all the way from Japan to regale Jeremy Parish and Michelle Belcher with tales of life at Inti Creates, the story behind Blaster Master Zero, and the mysterious "Speed Power Gunbike".
