This Just In: New Arrivals for the Week of July 16, 2026

Our favorite gal is back!

Hello and welcome once again to This Just In, the exciting and generally weekly feature wherein we, the lovable folks who inhabit the Limited Run Games offices, share the most recent warehouse arrivals with you, the lovable folks who support Limited Run Games. These titles have all passed our internal review and will be on their way to your doorstep soon, if you haven’t already received them!

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution - Revolutionary Edition

The latest adventure of everyone’s favorite half-genie, Shantae, has arrived. Risky Revolution is kind of a video game miracle, bringing to life the original Shantae sequel that Matt Bozon and WayForward kicked off for Game Boy Advance but had to set aside when they couldn’t lock down a publisher in those risk-averse days. It took a while, but that GBA adventure has come to life, 20 years later, and the maxed-out Revolutionary Edition has arrived at the LRG offices for you.

The Revolutionary Edition comes in a large box made of heavy cardboard with a glossy, textured finish (as you can see from the fragments of light reflecting here). It’s serious business.

Among other things, the outer box contains the complete Classic Edition of the game. No need to show it off here, but the Classic Edition contains the Standard Edition. It’s like a nesting doll where every new layer is a cool Shantae package.

Besides the game itself, the main draw for this edition is prrrrrrobably the Squid Baron plush. How can someone who grouchy and evil be so adorable? It is the eternal conundrum of cute villains. This one is made of fabric and filler material, so you can squeeze him all you want without fear of retribution.

Shantae herself features in this set as well in the form of a pixel lamp. She’s powered by two AAA batteries (not included), so now you can finally tell your skeptical friends that Shantae really is a AAA franchise. We always knew it in our hearts, but now we have proof.

This set also includes a deck of cards. But not playing cards! These are trading cards, each emblazoned with a different piece of original Shantae artwork. There’s even a subset that showcases key moments from the game, which would have made an absolutely amazing View-Master disc. The cards are great, too, though!

The collection also contains a set of six glossy art prints. Bigger and more action-packed than the cards!

And, just to remind you of your roots, there’s also a Game Boy Advance cartridge keychain. This is not a working GBA cart. Please do not attempt to force it into your GBA. Those things are so expensive to replace now.

Finally, each Revolutionary Edition comes with a crash-numbered Certificate of Authenticity. It seems like bootlegging all of the stuff contained in this set would be pretty difficult, but just in case, you don’t need to risk it.

Capcom Arcade Stadium

Also this week, more of the Capcom Arcade Stadium lineup has arrived at the office to build on the SKUs that showed up last week!

For starters, we have the last straggler for PlayStation 4 cover variants. It’s the Final Fight cover. Seems a little on the nose, in our opinion!

The Switch lineup has also arrived. These carts came in the same variants as the PlayStation 4 releases, though of course they ship in a smaller box with a smaller manual on even smaller physical media. Don’t let the tiny cart fool you, though. The Switch release of Capcom Arcade Stadium contains all the same titles as on PlayStation 4, physical versions of dozens of classic Capcom titles.

So tiny! The zoom lens came into play here.

Join us again next week for more new releases, including a new release by one of the medium’s undisputed masters. Video games! They’re so cool.
