LRG Now Hiring

We want you…to work on the Carbon Engine!

Looking to give classic retro titles a second wind? Want to find a cool place to work? Do you got the skills?

That’s where you come in. We need two wonderfully talented retro game lovers to help us take Carbon Engine development to the next level. Haven’t heard of the Carbon Engine? In short, it’s a development tool that allows legacy content to be easily ported to modern platforms. It enables Limited Run to effortlessly put out highly accurate, emulation-based ports of classic games for modern hardware. It’s the best and easiest way to port classic titles to modern consoles, at least in our humble opinion.

Thanks to the Carbon Engine, gamers of today can enjoy great games such as Shantae and River City Girls Zero. And Bill & Ted’s Excellent Retro Collection. More is on the way, and we’re ramping up production on loads of classic games from the 8- and 16-bit era, with support for PlayStation One and SEGA CD titles coming soon!

Sounds like fun, right? Here are the jobs that need to be done to keep this Carbon ship sailing:

A Tools Programmer: primarily responsible for building and maintaining a Windows Desktop Application that will serve as a visual GUI tool that powers the Carbon software development environment

A User Interface Artist: Flex those creative muscles and collaborate with the Carbon Engine Team by creating art assets for the User Interface of Carbon Engine titles
