We’ve filled our May up with yokai, both terrifying and adorable, Xenomorphs, witches, Newgrounds stars, and more craziness coming soon! Now, summer is imminent, and we’ve got some hot things going on around here.

This month, we’re also seeing some of the seeds we planted in our shipping initiatives blog starting to sprout, with tons of items shipping and production on Standard Editions coming down to just a few months. Things are going to really speed up this summer, so strap in and take a look at what’s going on right now, here on the last day of May, at Limited Run.

Take a Trip Through Trip World DX and Help Support Doctors Without Borders!

For the first time, Limited Run Games is partnering with Games Done Quick (GDQ) to raise money for Doctors Without Borders through the power of speedrunning. To support this amazing cause and kick off GDQ’s summer event, SGDQ, we’re putting out a special foil cover variant of our newly-released Trip World DX Switch physical edition.

We’re donating $5 to Doctors Without Borders USA for each foil cover Trip World DX game sold, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $10,000. We’ve also sent over some additional prizes to SGDQ’s event sweepstakes. Make sure you tune into SGDQ to see what’s in store!

We’re almost at the finish line for the Contra Anniversary Collection! If you missed this month’s update, read our blog to see how the Ultimate Edition is coming along. You don’t need to wait much longer.

May Production Upda—

Wait, huh, there don’t seem to be any production updates in this section…

That’s because starting today, we’re launching a new initiative to keep our customers better informed throughout the production process—The Milestone Update!

This is one part of our work to improve shipping times and customer service throughout 2023. At Limited Run, we believe that everyone should have a chance at their favorite game, so we’ve shied away from first-come-first-serve limited sales in favor of manufacturing enough games to meet the demand of the fans. Because of that, our items cannot go into manufacturing until the day after pre-orders end.

So you can see your items coming together at multiple stages of the process, every week, we’ll send out an email to eligible orders coming up on the 2, 5, or 8-month anniversary of pre-orders closing.

If you have an order hitting 8 months old this June, check your emails NOW! You should have an update on your game. 5-month emails will go out next week, and 2-month emails will follow the week after. Then we’ll start the cycle again in the first week of July, ad-infinitum.
