Sonic X Shadow Generations Update: Lookin’ Good, Guys
Some exciting developments on the remake front.

Remember how the revamped Sonic X Shadow Generations statue sample arrived and looked just a little bit off? Well, we asked our manufacturing partners to take a mulligan and give it another attempt, and the results—or at least their photos of the results—are in. And the results... look great!

With this latest round, everything looks to be on point: the sculpt, the proportions, and of course, the colors (which were our primary point of concern last time). The sculptors really nailed the look of the characters here, and the paint looks excellent. Here’s the latest sample compared to the 3D render:

We’ve received a ton of additional photos! Here, we’ll save you a few thousand words and just post some of the pics:

The manufacturer has even sent along some paint samples versus the target PMS swatches (that’s Pantone Matching System—pretty much the industry standard for print and paint color calibration).

Now that we’ve given our own Sonic-style thumbs-up for this iteration, we expect the new prototype to arrive here at the office for in-person review soon. Once that passes muster, we’ll ship it along to Sega for their approval as well. As always, stay tuned—things are looking up.
