Mailbag: Your Sonic X Shadow Generations Questions Answered (Again!)

While we wait for the next round of paint samples on the remastered Sonic X Shadow Generations statue, why don’t we dip into our mailbag and see what Sonic-related questions are on the minds of the Limited Run community this week?

As a reminder, we opened up a call for questions a while back, and we’ve already answered one round of your inquiries! Keep them coming, but be sure to check our previous posts as well—you may find the answers you’re looking for there!

Robert: There are some surprises that you haven't revealed yet, which will be revealed when the order has arrived at the buyers' destinations in this corrected edition?

LRG: Short answer? Yes! Long answer? Yes, but you won’t have to wait quite that long. Stay tuned and keep an eye on this very website for more information.

Sachi: Just to confirm, the replacements will include both the statue and the Chao figurines, correct? This is what I was told in my support ticket conversations.

LRG: Yes, that’s correct. The replacements will include all CE components. That includes the statue, the Chaos, and everything else that was advertised as part of the set.

Gheor: The emails regarding the Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector's edition have been centered around the dreamcast statue. What can be said for all the other things promised with this collector's edition? Like the Chao figures, or Gerald Robotnik's journal. Is work being done to make sure these parts meet the same quality standard and ship with the rest of the Collector's Edition items?

LRG: The Sonic X Shadow Generations overhaul process really only concerns the statue. That’s a good thing, though! It means that the rest of the items included with (and already manufactured for) the Collector’s Edition were unaffected by the quality issues we encountered with the statue. So those other components will wait here patiently at the LRG warehouse until the newly redesigned/manufactured statues arrive, and they can all ship together.

Stanley Moore: I ordered the Sonic x Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition but I never got the rest of my stuff. I only got the game and it’s been over a year.

LRG: Yes, that’s correct. Due to the quality issues we encountered with the Sonic X Shadow Generations statue, only the games have shipped to most customers. The Collector’s Edition box and all of its contents—including the retooled statues—will ship once everything is in hand and the new statues pass our quality assurance standards.

César: Will the figures be made from scratch, or will both the figures and the base (the Dreamcast) be made from scratch?

LRG: The entire statue is being remade, and the Dreamcast base is a part of that! That’s why we encountered the color issues we noted on the Dreamcast portions of the initial sample we received (as noted in last week’s blog): since that element is also being rebuilt, we have to put it through the same fine-tuning and feedback process as the characters.

Grug: How Grug start fire

LRG: Good news, Grug, there’s no need to start the fire. It was always burning since the world’s been turning. But, going forward, let’s keep questions focused on the Sonic X Shadow Generations project, OK?

Thanks again for your questions, and for accompanying us on this journey to remaster our Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition. See you again next week!
