Sonic X Shadow Generations: A ¥1 Million Sonic Statue?
Sonic X Shadow Generations: A ¥1 Million Sonic Statue?
Wrap that baby in bubble wrap
OK, OK, we know we missed our usual Friday update on the Sonic X Shadow Generations statues. There have been some changes here at Limited Run Games and during this transition period and shuffling of roles, Friday’s blog fell through the cracks.
Hey, even Sonic makes a misstep here and there, but it’s time to get back on track and keep moving forward like our favorite Blue Blur.
The Sonic X Shadow Generations statues continue to be with our partners in the production phase, and this is currently a period of time in which there are not many updates – BUT remember that no updates are usually good updates when it comes to things like this.
That means everything remains on schedule (unlike this blog last week…)
While we wait on updates about the Sonic X Shadow Generations statue, did you know there is a porcelain brand that just announced a ¥1 Million Sonic sculpture?!
Coming in at $6,000 USD (well, $7,000 USD after customs duties, shipping, and taxes), the piece entitled, “Sonic the Hedgehog Arita Ware ‘Infinite Blue’” was created by porcelain brand YOYOYO to commemorate Sonic’s 35th anniversary in 2026 and continue the love of everyone’s favorite hedgehog for generations to come.
This hand-made and hand-painted sculpture has incredible detail, and the color is Gosu, or The Eternal Blue, “the traditional pigment behind the blue of Arita ware.”
Created by one of the oldest and most trusted porcelain companies in the world, this Sonic sculpture is features Sonic’s blue and white head, torso, and arms atop a red and white infinity loop.
While you wait for more updates on your Sonic X Shadow Generations statues, head over to YOYOYO’s website to learn more about how this incredible ¥1 Million Sonic sculpture came about.
