This Just In: New Arrivals For the Week of May 6, 2026

A detailed look at the games that’ll be shipping soon... to you!

By The LRG Team

This just in! In the warehouse, that is. Here’s a look at the games that have recently arrived at the Limited Run shipping docks and have passed our final approvals checks. In other words, they’ll be shipping to you soon. We could just post a list of games, but the fun of collecting is in the objects themselves, right? Right. So enjoy some photos.

In ascending order of girth:

Fighting Force Collection

A pair of classic PlayStation brawlers by Eidos (now Square Enix... it’s complicated).

Also available in a special event edition with a unique cover that celebrates the very specific look of that era’s CG artwork. Look forward to picking this one up at conventions and other events later in the year:

Snow Bros. Classic Collection Classic Edition

Snow Bros. Classic Collection Classic Edition. Trying saying that one three times fast.

Speaking of three, Snow Bros. Classic Collection compiles three classic Toaplan action games into one set. The original Snow Bros. is one of those games where you think, “Oh, a Toaplan game on NES? I should get that.” And then you see how much it’s selling for on eBay and realize that all the other Toaplan fans had the same idea. Luckily, this release from the LRG Carbon team was a few hundred dollars more affordable than the original cart. You’re welcome.

The Classic Edition comes in an NES-style box. However, please note that this release includes a PS5 game, which real NES boxes did not contain.

There are, however, a bunch of goodies inside, which is pretty authentic to the NES experience.

Standard Edition (case, game disc, and manual).

A CD featuring tunes from all three games.

And a poster. Really, all the things a Snow Bros. fan could ask for.

DOOM Collector’s Edition

Now, here’s a release that’s extremely not authentic to the original, but in a good way. The vintage Super NES release of DOOM did the best it could to recreate the most bleeding-edge PC gaming experience money could buy at the time, but the available console tech wasn’t quite up to the task. Our very own Randal Linden revisited the game—which he originally programmed back in the day!—to take another crack at it with upgraded add-ons that allowed him to deliver the experience he always wanted Super NES DOOM to be. Now it has better frame rates, more levels, even video clips. And it still runs on Super NES! In the cartridge contained in this very package! It’s pretty crazy.

DOOM CE SNES full set small.jpg

This cartridge plugs directly into your “retro console” and plays a version of DOOM that is pretty much on par with DOOM on a beefy 486-powered DOS box. (Don’t worry about the blood spatters, they won’t rub off on your console.)

This one also comes with a poster, in case you’ve ever wanted to see DOOMGUY ripping and tearing at a larger scale.

Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection Deluxe Edition

And the final item for this round: the Deluxe Edition of Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection. Housed in a massive, oversized plastic clamshell case, this package is huge and will definitely crowd out the other items on your shelf. As it should. The world needs to see that Bubsy is back.

I have to call attention to the flocked, velvet-like interior of the clamshell case. It’s luxurious. Only the best for our favorite bobcat pal.

The case contains the standard edition of the game (in this instance, the Xbox Series release), a CD soundtrack in full jewelcase, a PVC keychain, and a poster.

Please note that this is not just any poster.

No, it is a double-sided poster. You don’t see many of those these days. Again, only the best for Bubsy.

Interestingly, The Purrfect Collection comes with a smaller manual than usual. Bubsy doesn’t abide by your rules, man. He does things his way.

We can neither confirm nor deny the presence of a Bubsy cover of Sinatra’s “My Way” on the included soundtrack CD.

There are a few more items that have just shown up at the last moment—more on those next week.

(Please note that the wooden frog stand appearing in some of these photos is not included in any of the game sets. He’s just a small friend who holds CDs upright for my photos.)
